I was looking through videos of glowsticking performances recently and I came across this video. It was put together by several people who are members of Glowsticking.com. I was pretty impressed by some of the performances in the video — and they would look even better if the area had been totally dark!

Glowstringing Basics
If you've already mastered the art of glowsticking, then you might want to move on to glowstringing. Some people actually start learning glowstringing moves before they learn glowsticking moves. Before you learn any moves, however, there are a few important things you should think about.
1. Strings:
You can purchase any type of string that you want, as long as it's sturdy enough to support the glow stick. Most glowstringers use shoe laces. To enhance your performance even more, you could try using glow shoe laces.
The length of each string should be roughly equal to the length of your arm. Any longer and the strings will be harder to control. Furthermore, if the strings are too long, the glow sticks may hit the floor during some of your moves.
2. Glow sticks:
Most people choose to use 6 inch glow sticks. This size is big enough to create significant visual appeal, yet not so big that the sticks would be unmanageable or impractical.
3. Attaching glow sticks to the strings:
Glow sticks usually have a loop at the top of them, like the ones in the picture on the right. You can slide the string through the loop, and then knot it so that the stick is firmly attached to the end of the string.
4. Holding the strings:
There are several different ways by which you can hold the strings when you're practicing the moves. Some people tie a loop at the end of the string, so that they can stick their fingers through the loop. Other people wrap the strings securely around their fingers and/or hands. Other people opt to simply hold the string between their thumb and pointer finger. It's really a matter of personal preference.
Once you have considered these factors, you'll be ready to start learning some moves!

Cheap Glow Bracelets: Does Price Matter?
One common notion about cheap glow bracelets is that since they are inexpensive, they are definitely of low quality. There are hundreds of websites that offer these glowing products for very competitive rates, most of them being exceptionally cheap. However, it is not always true that inexpensive glow sticks and other products are of cheap quality and there are chances that this can be otherwise.
It is important to know how glowing products work and what to look for when you buy these products, so you can make sure that the product you buy is of excellent quality.
- Packing Date – It doesn’t matter whether you are buying an expensive or inexpensive product. The glow can start fading right after a couple of hours even if the manufacturer assured you a minimum glow period of twelve or more hours. Why does this happen? The reason lies in the manufacturing date. If you notice that the product is manufactured very long time back, chances are high that these products were lying in some company’s warehouse, unattended for a long time. This will affect the quality of these products.
- Chemicals Used – There are strict regulations about the chemicals that must be used in glowing products. Make sure that any sort of harmful substances are not contained in your glow bracelets. Harmful chemicals can cause serious injury if the bracelets accidentally break.
- Merchant – Before purchasing these products, make sure to check your merchant’s reputation as a seller. If you come across bad customer reviews and complaints about poor quality, why to take a chance? You can go for other merchants with good reputations and positive selling records so that your health and safety is assured.

Glow Sticks: Buying Them Wholesale
Glow sticks have become very popular since they were invented around twenty five years ago, and now they are used at almost any massive event of any kind. They are a very interesting and unique decorative item and you will never see them missing from events that are held during the night time. If you have children, they will be utterly amazed by them and you can be sure that they will ask you to buy them these glow sticks on a regular basis. Keeping a small stock of these items in your house is not a bad idea. In the summer time, night will fall much later than usual, and if you want to keep an eye on your children, you will be able to do so using these sticks. Furthermore, you will never have to worry about them being dangerous to your children, because although they contain chemicals, the chemicals are not dangerous to humans.
If you are hosting a party soon, then you should definitely consider purchasing some glow sticks to have at the party. For that, you can start off by looking on the internet and checking the online community forums. You will see that there are a lot of companies that sell these products online, and in the forums you can find out which companies are the most popular and, of course, which companies produce the highest quality sticks at the lowest prices. Everyone loves a good deal, particularly in this economy.
Some of the most popular sticks are the four and six inch ones. You will never have to worry about not being able to find them in the colors that you need, since these sticks come in almost any color that you can imagine. They are most often available in blue, green, orange, yellow, pink, red, and purple. Additionally, cheap glow necklaces and glow bracelets are also very popular. Since they are so inexpensive, they make great party favors for kids' birthday parties and other similar events. It makes sense to buy these in bulk, since you can use them for many different occasions and you will end up saving money in the long run.
Bulk glow sticks are usually available in packages of twenty, fifty, or one hundred pieces. Always make sure that you are aware of the quality of the sticks you are going to buy, as you won’t want them to wear out after just a few minutes of use.
